Hezekiah’s Tunnel

Hezekiah's Tunnel and the Gihon Spring are located in the Kidron Valley, outside the Old City walls, in the City of David. The tunnel, leading from the Gihon Spring to the Pool of Siloam, was designed to act as an aqueduct to provide Jerusalem with water during an impending siege by the Assyrians. The curving tunnel is approximately 1750 feet or 533m long and conveyed water along its length from the spring to the pool.
