Jing De Zhen~Ceramics

Jingdezhen is famous throughout the world for the fine porcelain that has been nicknamed “white gold” for it's rich sources of kaolin, the white clay ideal for making porcelains. It is the capitol of blue-white porcelain owing the color to the glaze made with cobalt oxide. The city has huge shops filled with the special, high quality, multi-sized porcelain products of the area created by local crafts-persons.
